Lakeside 2019 Fashion Videography and Photography

Lakeside is one of the largest shopping centres in the UK, previously owned by the intu Properties Group at the time of this project. A client of ours for many years, we regularly work closely with Lakeside on all their videography and photography requirements from internal material, events, communications and campaigns for social media, website, online and print.

In 2017 we worked with Lakeside to develop a new outlook for their fashion marketing strategy. We worked closely with their in-house personal shopping stylist team to select the latest fashion trends for a promo video and photoshoot used for social media, Internal Advertising screens, Printed Ads and a Look Book.

We used the same process for the Spring/Summer 2019 fashion campaign, where we utilised the brand-new Hollywood Bowl. This was the first leisure facility to open within Lakeside’s £150 million leisure extension and was the perfect backdrop for our fashion shoot as well as introducing the new facility. We made use of the neon lighting, VIP bowling lanes, arcades, and outside architecture to form a styled set for this year’s fashion pieces.

The project was a fully managed service by us where we provided concepts for the client, assisted with sourcing models and location recces, project management and the film and photography itself from production right through to post-production and delivery.

The campaign itself was a huge success, overall producing an incredible gallery of 260 images, a 45 second promo video and 12 mini fashion feature edits which provided retailer information for each look.  

The 12 mini fashion feature edits provided the retailer information for each look acting as a visual look book. The videos were heavily used throughout the centre on the large screens so shoppers could look and then shop the latest spring/summer trends. These videos contributed to a higher amount of customers booking in with the personal styling team at intu Lakeside and had retailers reporting on how certain items had seen an increase in sales and a rise in footfall.

The models were selected based on the success of the spring/summer 2018 campaign using influencers as the models who in turn posted, blogged and featured the shoot in their YouTube channels including Shelby Tribble from ITV’s The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE).
